That Girl

I went to Dallas last weekend to watch my Buffs get beat by the Aggies. Grrrr! My family and I, around 30 people deep, drove from Dallas to College Station to watch the game and cheer on Ryan. It was the first time for most of them to meet That Girl, or Tara, Ry’s wife.

I can imagine how she might be overwhelmed at the thought . . . these are his aunts, uncles, cousins and friends . . . Still, when they met her it was with arms open wide, smiles on faces and warm welcomes into the fold - just like I knew they would.

I caught a glimpse of the family of God waiting outside of a locker room that day. It’s so easy and completely how He welcomes us, and how we then welcome others into the family, His family. One day there’s going to be that great family reunion with people around the world and throughout time enjoying each other as only family can. One day. In the meantime, go Buffs! Hey, it could happen!
