No Place Like It

Marc is home, FINALLY, after a few days overseas.  It’s about time.  He, apparently, had a really difficult time getting here.  From Paris, his Chicago flight was delayed, so they re-routed him to DC.  While getting through customs was easy and only a mere 10-minute ordeal, his plane sat on the tarmac for, gulp, two and a half hours before taking off while waiting for a storm to pass.  Yikes.  Then, once he arrived at DIA, it took another hour for his bag to be unloaded to baggage claim.  He was nothing but grateful when he, finally, walked through the doors of our home.  Well, grateful and tired.

Our road “home” can be marred with detours, detainments, and delays.  In my own life, teen-aged pregnancy, marital madness, depression and rebellion have each threatened to prevent me from making it home - into the truth of my personal, love relationship with Christ.  Because of that, I’m grateful for the Diving navigation of the love of God that led me to Him, to my place of rest, to my place of belonging, to my home.

Be encouraged on your winding road of divorce, over your mountainous terrain of addition, and through the dense woods of disease, the God of the universe is in control and will, by His love, lead you home.

After suffering sleepless nights in a foreign time zone, Marc woke up this morning saying he couldn’t remember the last time he slept so hard and so well.  In his own bed, with his wife beside him, he rested.

Psalm 116:7
Be at rest once more, O my soul, for the LORD has been good to you.

Yes, He has.

Peace and Blessings,
