I’m having the time of my life! Everything, every day is really good. This is the life I dreamed of. Wow! When I was young, I dreamed of being married to a really great man, who I imagined would also be a really wonderful person. Guess what? I am. I also hoped one day we’d have children – really great children. And, you guessed it, we have a really great son, Zion. The dream included having fun doing something I’m good at and I love. Yep. Enter My Goodness!
My best life ever also includes a beautiful tree-lined street, fabulous friends, an ability to see and love life as it is, and a strong desire to grow the good every where, beginning with me. Just the other day I noticed how calm and accepting my husband is. Rarely does he resist what is present and when he does, it doesn’t last long. I am…well…the exact opposite most of the time. For this reason and many others I’m counting my blessings, giving thanks for the goodness in my life, focusing my attention on everything perfect and harmonious. If anyone would have told me as a child my life would be this sweet, I probably would not have believed them. Moving from pain and chaos to love and peace has been an adventurous journey that continues offering more revelations.
As I head out for my morning walk pushing Zion’s stroller I realized that I was being kissed by sunshine, serenaded by the birds, entertained by rose bushes galore, massaged by a morning breeze and applauded by rustling trees. Thank you Father for more goodness than I could ever have imagined!
Is this your best life? Do you see the incredible blessings in your life? Have you taken a moment to appreciate the beauty around you? Are you growing the good in your life and offering goodness to others? Let’s begin today! Ephesians 1:3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ.
Peace and blessings, Monique Ruffin-James
